CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLE
AND SECRET BEAUTY ROUTINES EXPOSED THANKS TO WYCLEF JEAN AND ANGELINA JOLIE!

Angelina Jolie is likely to have stiff curls in this picture; while her daughter Zahara's hair looks wirey and intentionally shaped, it is actually incredibly soft and will hold that shape naturally without assistance from sticky and hard hair products.

She's beautiful because she was born with her looks. Angelina looks beautiful thanks to her hair because she's worked at it.

There is a common misconception that Caucasian women would view such a hairstyle as unkempt; it's more likely that folks who don't have beautiful hair like Zahara would love to touch it and would be in awe of how luxurious and gentle the natural look curls are to the touch.

Angelina's hair might LOOK gorgeous, but she required more than an hour and a half on hair care alone to get the smooth look, has loads of product in her hair, used a blow dryer, curling iron and special brush to get it to look just right, has parts of her hair teased to hold the crown form up, and after all that is likely to have sprayed the soft looking curls at the bottom of her long locks with a firm hold hairspray (translation = stiff, sticky, untouchable, and smelly) to get the curls to last MAYBE 6 hours.

If she was African American, her hair would be silky and soft to the touch and may hold the shape for up to a week. Angie, on the other hand, will most likely have greasy hair that needs to be washed and re-styled by morning.

That's part of why Caucasian women praise kids for self-grooming early and teach them to style their own hair as early as possible -- to save time daily -- and why beauty routines for African American women from childhood are so different culturally.
