Alex Jones pushing bizarre right-wing campaign to return baby to allegedly abusive dad

Image
Paranoid politics, which has flourished in the Obama era, can lead people in some strange directions. I can find no better example than this: Tomorrow, a large crowd of protesters mostly affiliated with the Oath Keepers, a network of ex- and current military and law enforcement formed amid the radical right-wing backlash to the Obama presidency,  will rally outside a New Hampshire courtroom . Their mission? To get a newborn baby girl released to a couple in which the father is accused of  a "lengthy history of domestic violence" that includes sworn allegations from a judge that the dad -- Johnathon Irish of Epsom, N.H. -- is "the main suspect" in bruises found in an older child that was recently taken from the mother of Irish's newborn daughter.

Last night, as hail pelted lower Manhattan, we crowded into the sweaty enclaves of the former basement CBGB, going through a backdoor with a redlight to see Yelawolf perform at our Issue 70 release party. He was wild sweaty and predictably great, as you can see in the above clip of ‘Wolf classic “Mixin Up the Medicine.” After the jump, check a flick of Yela with the old CBGB sign, courtesy FADER publisher Andy Cohn . ANOTHER REPUBLICAN STAR BORN: RAISES MOST IN HOUSE RACES Leads Drudge:) Noem has raised $1.1 million over the past three months, about twice as much as her opponent, Rep. Mark Fuhrman talks O.J. Simpson: 'It wasn't a first degree murder'

Image
Thirteen years after their last interview, Oprah Winfrey sat down with disgraced former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman to take a look back at the infamous O.J. Simpson case and what went wrong. Fuhrman, who famously lied under oath about using the N-word, which made an already racially-charged case even more flimsy, says that he wishes he'd never picked up the phone on that fateful night in Los Angeles. After Winfrey admits that she frequently dreams about Simpson confessing to her, Fuhrman says that if he could say one thing to Simpson it would be, "I know you didn't mean to kill two people, and you didn't go there for that, and it wasn't a first degree murder."
